ABOUT THE
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
Jason Watts is originally from Sumiton, Alabama. He and his wife, Shannon, have 2 children - Kendall (17) and McKlain (14). Coach Watts is a graduate of The University of Alabama where he received his undergraduate degree. He received his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Samford University and his Educational Specialists Degree from The University of Alabama in Birmingham.
In his educational tenure, Coach Watts has taught math for 13 years at Homewood Middle School, coached football, track and wrestling. He was the Assistant Principal for 2 years at Bragg Middle School. He was the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for 4 years at Sparkman High School, and the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at James Clemens High School for 5 years.
Gulf Shores City Schools are excited to have Coach Watts and his family join the Dolphins and are looking forward to another championship year in athletics. Go Dolphins!
